andresenblom2Andresen Blom is currently the senior strategist at the Center for Civic Virtue. He previously worked at the American Principles Project, which he joined shortly after its inception in 2009. Immediately prior to APP, he served as president of Hawaiian Values, a 501c4 entity dedicated to stopping the Native Hawaiian Government Reorganization Act (also known as the Akaka bill), and as president of Research Institute for Hawaii, USA, a 501c3 foundation dedicated to researching, studying and clarifying U.S. – Hawaiian history. In addition, his executive background includes serving as executive director of McCain Campaign/Hawaii, as strategic advisor and communications director of Human Life International, and as executive director of the state affiliate for National Right to Life. Mr. Blom successfully led the effort to win the referendum to affirm traditional marriage in Hawaii; the effort reversed polling trends and contributed to approval by 72% of voters. In the private sector, he has served as vice president of a major mid-Atlantic bank, in senior positions for several advertising agencies, and as owner of his own marketing and communications firm.
